Ford has not made any 9 inch Ford gears in over a decade. Most of the race shops use Richmond Gears ... made in Liberty SC. I have a few friends who work there.

For a street car ... a factory Ford gear is much preferred ... by myself. They always run a lot quieter. NOS ones show up on eBay every so often. That is where I got my last gear set.

I am looking for a quiet gear. I have seen pictures of some that have a REM coating on them. They almost look chrome.
