ford 9 inch shortening?
hello everyone i just got a 1965 ford f-100. it has no engine tranny or rear end so i stuck my 9 inch in there out of a 1967 f-150 and when i put on my 7.00-15 tires there is only like three inches of space on each side. and i want be able to have some fat mt/et street tires out back at least some 275s. can i shorten my 9 inch and how much does that cost? THANKS

Depending on your area. Labor to narrow housing.. $195.00 plus parts if any needed. Housing ends if needed $90 to $100 If your axles are able to be shortened.. $ 150.00 for the pair plus parts if needed. |

may be cheaper to measure that rear hub to hub and try to find one shorter.
