Ford 9" question
So this weekend after winning the main event in my circle track car, I was being dumb and did a burn-out----Well the 9"grenaded and I feel like an *****.
Anyways the rear end I run is out of a early Ford Bronco, and the pumpkin is off-set, one axle is 27"s lond and the other is 29". Both are 31 spline axles. The 27" axle snapped and wouldn't you know it they are near impossible to find a replacement. I have however found a axle the right length but 28 spline.
So heres my question can we make the 28 spline axle, and side gear work in a 31 spline housing. Are the housings all the same (28 & 31 spline)? I'm no expert in rear ends so any help would be much appreciated. I need this thing bullet proof for the last two races of the year, being first in points as of Saturday and have two other drivers in striking distance if I have rear-end problems.
Also I have heard that if the rear-end broke doing a burn out it was probably going to fail down the road anyways, what do ya think? I would fell like less of an ***** if this could be true.
