Post Ford 9" Rear End

Are there any identifying markings on a Ford rear end housing which would tell me if the center section is 9" or 9 3/8"?
The (donated) unit I have, has disc brakes and coil spring mounts (not a Versailles).
The previous owner thinks it was in a 1973 Lincoln with a 460 engine, but I'd like to know for sure before I put any time into it.
I don't think they make after market parts for the 9 3/8" section.

You didn't say what you were putting this rear in, but 70's Lincoln had the widest rear for 9". I think they were 60" flange to flange. May be good idea to check what clearance you will have. Early Mustangs were only 52", to give you a reference.
