ford AOD/POWER LEVEL

HAD AN 87 MERK ,RUSSIAN ran the lite..Tran's was rebuilt by an good tranny man. Now in my 57 wagon/ 69 351w 2v ,motor. 650 holleyalum. manifold elelbrock.How will aod hold up to the basic stock 351? T/v valve setting is good . also 4:11 rear ANY TRAN PEOPLE ?

Depends on the year of the AOD, 88-93's are best for a build.To really learn about the AOD check out:www.clickclickracing.com there is plenty to read before you start asking questions.AOD's prior to '88 can be modified and improved with some beefing up and swapping to the '88-93 valve body.With your 4:11 rear gears you should install a Trans-Go Hi-Rev Kit in the governor for proper shifting.
