Ford Cowl Vent query
Hi
I've got a 1933 Ford Sedan. The cowl vent has a bulge on the inside if it, so I cannot fit the bug screen! Most cowl vents I've seen for a 33 or 34 Ford have a flat underside. Does anyone know why this one has a bulge? ....could it be off another model - e.g. truck!. Any thoughts or ideas please? thanks |

Is the bulge in the vent itself? Or is it in the deflector? The sheetmetal was only 2 pieces, with the vent being one stamping and the deflector a seperate part, spotwelded to the vent at the factory. Sometimes the deflector is bent more than stock, which will hit the back of the bugscreen.
33-34 cars were not interchangeble with any 32-34 trucks, I do not know if a 35 or 36 truck cowl vent could have been modified to fit. A picture would help. Later, mikey
