Ford Crown Victoria '89 electrical probs

we took one fuse out that controls the radio, interior lights, power locks and power mirror adjustments....if I leave it in, it drains the battery. It is an annoyance to have this set up but I am dealing with it. Now I have rear driving lights out, brake lights work, just not driving lights. Looking for a schematic before we start playing with all the fuses. Any ideas on where to find this?

re: Ford Crown Victoria '89 electrical probs

Perhaps doc or vicrod will chime in incase i forgot anything but here is what i suggest. You already found the fuse that causes a current drain, now what i'd suggest is disconnecting all those mentioned components then hook them up one at a time and check for current draw by using a multimeter set for amps in the proper scale, between the negative cable and negative terminal. As far as the rear running lights check the fuse first, if ok check bulbs (i know i know) If those check out ok start tracing the wire and check for voltage at any junctions you find. Good luck and post back
