Ford Disc Brake swap
I have a couple of cars I'm playing around with, a 57 Ford Custom, and a 64 Galaxie. I'm trying to find out if the disc brake setup off a 65 T-bird will bolt into either of these cars. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. I read elsewhere that someone thought that the 67 Bird was the 1st with 4 piston disc brakes in the front. The 65 was the 1st bird with this brake setup. I have a 65 parts car and the setup looks like it should fit but I would rather know for sure as it's a lot of work to trial & error the swap.

Yes, the spindles will retro-fit. It may be that a ball joint/tie-rod holes will have to be resized, but most any reputable machine shop can do that for you.
Be advised that the service parts for the KH-4 Piston design are expensive. |
