The CJ/ SCJ have the "C" codes and the standard codes are the "A" code. Although I have read stories that sometimes people have found A blocks in a CJ. The side oiler I thought was for the 427 not the 428. Other then expensive, they oiled the mains and rods first, rather then the other way around. When the 427 first came out (center oiler) it had a bad habit of spinning bearings and losing #7 rod through the side of the block. Not a good thing for NASCAR racing.
