I have one that I am putting on my '60 Corvette, put a ford 9" rear on it and I am using that kit...
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=1790 What I don't know is which pads go where. The pads are marked on the ends with a F and a B. On one end there is a U shaped notch in the calipers and on the other end it is notched with an L. Not sure which end goes to the top and which goes to the bottom.....anyone? |

sorry, let me be more clear....
Here is how I installed it.... Note in the close up below that there is one arrow at the top, pointing to the tab at the end of the disc brake holder. There are two arrows pointing tot eh bottom of the disc brake holder where there are two of these tabs. I am guessing that I have them on right in order to stop and not have the disc brakes become un attached. Did I do this right? Are they installed correctly? I tried doing a search under the Ford brakes but struck out trying to get a close up photo or a description of what I was trying to install. The instruactions that came from Ford Racing were useless as well, nothing at all about the disc brakes. Any help from any body will be appreciated....also what torque should I torque the disc brake caliper bolts to? thanks, Herb |
