Richard/ T.I brought up the most popular small gearbox for Euro Fords. However if you look at a Type 9, its almost like a SROD, in that it has a high mounted single shift rail, and no shift/inspection cover between the main case and the tailhousing such as the gearbox in the OPs picture.
OP youre going to need to get some casting numbers off this thing, the pic is a little blurry and its filthy LOL.
Ford of Germany had a gearbox called a Cologne. Its hard to get any info on it because Ford in their wisdom used that moniker for V6's as well.

I've found that is a ford type 5, 4 speed transmission!
