i am trying to install an anti-rattle kit in the doors of my 69 f100 p/u. i need to find out how to release the door panels without destroying them!

I answered rsparks in a PM but thought I would put it here in case some one else needed to know how. Here is my responce:

Check out http://fordification.com/ They are dedicated to 1967-1972 Ford PUs. They have a forum also and were helpful to me a couple of times. A lot of good tech stuff, too.

Remove the window crank handle, the arm rest, and the inner door handle. Then remove all of the screws holding the steel door panel to the door.
From the backside of the steel door panel use a pair of needle-nose pliers to release the clips holding the woodgrain door panel to the steel door panel.
If you pry on the panel from the outside you will tear out the cardboard backing of the panel where the clips are.
