Have a '31 Ford hot rod. I have seen many pictures of these cars with a chrome "bar" between the frame rails used as a front bumper, but cannot find them to purchase?
Ideally, the one I really want is a "V" shape chrome bar, and it had built in parking lights.....

What your looking at is a 32 Ford spreader bar, they don't make them for 31 Fords'. The ones you have seen are either 31 Fords that are on a 32 frame, or some one has made the bar fit a 31 frame. Most guys building a Model "A" would use a 32 frame but not all. You can get a vee shaped one and cut it to fit but your best bet would make your own, or have one made then you can have it chromed or you can paint it.

Brian was nice enough to look one up for you, looks like you can get a straight one but you have to make the brackets it looks like to me. Maybe if you look at some of the other sites some one has some.

Looks to me like you can get them with turn signals and with, or without flanges to mount, but only straight not in a vee, they are for 32's.

The OP was looking for a 'V' shaped spreader bar - which I have never seen for an A.

Also - to the OP - if you are running the car with a grill splash shield, you will need to modify it to clear around that bar. I had obtained some brushed SS to make one for mine, but decided I had too much time and painting to start over so just ended up with nerfs instead and might be something for you to consider - though it doesn't help with lights.

thanks for everyone's help....did find numerous straight bars, no "V" shaped yet....its a lot easier when you look for the "correct part"! I was searching "bumpers" instead of "spreader bars"....appreciate the input.
