hi im new to building a hotrod and im stuck on the brakes side of things its based on a 1927 ford model t . can anybody help if im missing somethink or doing somethink wrong . thanks in advance . steve
Steve, why don't you write us a story about what you have, why you have it, where you got it, where the pieces came from and what your intentions are. You've dumped a teaser in our laps and there is not enough info to go on.
hi sorry . yer well i got if from a family friend it came with lots of bits and i gess there for the vehicle i cant seem to get them to fit 1st i think the bolts are to short the gold 1s ? and the chalk marks on the hubs are were the calipers need to go but i dont wanna start cutting about need to more help . im very new to this im a fabricator and mechanic but this is different to the modern stuff . can anybody help ?? thanks steve
The area you have marked on the spindle does have to be removed. The little sleeves in the caliper you don't need, take all 4 of them out. That is a Speedway kit and the caliper rides directly on the fat part of the bolt.
hi rpm . so the spindle has ro be cut or grided out to make caliper fit ? i was gessing so but wanted to double check before i cut anythink . it wont alter the strenth of the spindle will it ? thank you very much . steve
