Ford rack and pinion steering on my street rod

Does anyone know which fittings are [presure/return] and where can I get them. I went to Pick-a-part and couldn't find a Ford product with my steering gear. I bought five fittings but none were usable in my application. Some are inverted flare and some are a fitting with a plastic washer. I have to make my own lines as it was necessary to put the P/S pump on the righthand side of the engine. ['36 Hupmobile]. Thanks, Ed Farrell

I had to buy a hose to fit rack cut metal end off then bought hose to fit pump ,cut metal end off then had local parts make a hose with ferrule's and put metal ends on it. Yes a 150.00 hose but it fit and dose'nt leak.

Our local hot rod shop has adapters tha t change most every fitting to a flare fitting, then they make you a hose (steel braided) with 2 flare ends. About 50 bucks with the adapters. Seemed like a pretty common practice.

I thought the something about 200.00 of fittings that leaked like a sieve.Thats why I had to go the hose route.YES there has to be better answers but the hose was only one that worked.I even tryed people that do it and sell it no help. I solved my problem took 8 weeks of spare time and no car but im happy now.I hope someone has a better answer to save next sidekick a headache and frustration.

Thanks to all you respondents as I finally got enough fittings and hose and finished the project. Cost, about $80!
