What configuration? stroker/no stroker, blower/no blower, carb/no carb.
What fuel?
What will the motor be used for?
What's your budget?

Hi
You can use a seasoned production block, have it magnafluxed, bored, honed, decked,& line honed. Use a steal crank with a 3.250 stroke & 5.400 rods. 10to1 forged flat top pistons (try to get pistons with the rings close to the top so the oil ring doesn't intersect into the wrist pin) A roller cam with an intake lift over .510 and exhaust lift around .530 Heads, Alloy heads are lighter, but I've used World iron heads that were good also, You'll need around 75cc exhaust ports w/58-60cc Combustion chambers, 2.02 intake valves & 1.600 exhaust, 1.6 roller rockers, dual plane aluminum intake manifold, w/ at least a 700cfm carb. Converter around 2500 stall & the rotating assembly should be balanced. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things, but others will chime in and rectify that. I won't be able to reply anytime soon as I dropped my computer & destroyed it ( I think it hit every step on the way down) & I'm not ready to spend another $1500 to replace it, I'm at my daughters home at present, & don't know when will get together here again (she normally comes to my house)
Good luck
Rich

Ford Racing has a big selection of crate motors sold through Summit such as http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-6007Z351SR/ even some of the new Boss blocks.

You can also go with a 351W that is still considered a small block Ford engine. You'll hit those horsepower numbers easily and probably spend less money. The 351W is slightly taller and wider than the 302. They will fit in most applications that have a 302 in them. Just a suggestion...
