Ford V-10

As the old song goes: its your thing, do what you want to do, I cant tell you who to sock it to. It sounds like an interesting swap to me,but then my budget wouldnt allow for it. None the less, were I able to fund it, would probably put one in my 94 T-bird, just for grins and giggles.
be mindful that the factory computer has a speed governor on it, so you will have to have an aftermarket chip burned for said computer.

If Extrudabody built a set of ITB's for the Ford V10 would that make it a better Hot Rod Motor candidate?

I thought about the V-10 as well. I've driven a couple and even borrow one to tow my 24' camper. Got to say the 5.4 V-8 I had in my last P/U pulled my trailer just as good or better. Not sure if it's the truck weight or the gearing - lots of variables - but I wasn't impressed with the V-10 And the mileage sucked big time. That was only my experiance though, I'm others have had better.

As far as a hot rod, there's not much after market for the Mod motors to begin with, but it is growing. You'll be on your own for anything custom. But that can have an upside, you'll be unique!

Well I understand we are trying to figure out the the Nitches are with regards to Extrudabody Products, it's a very crowded Market place and the economy is in the la****teeeeeeeeeeeeee so we are simply trying to maximize our advantages and gauge some interest level?

Link to some of the work from Extrudabody: ************************

Tha Extrudabody system was designed for the hotrodder in mind, to give a universal throttle body system so tinkers and hotrodders can make their on induction systems!

Thanks Guys!

Kevin

I'd say a 351w. Good motor and parts are reasonable

Personally I'm going for a merlin v12....

From all that I've seen the triton v10s are more of a hassle then they are worth, but if you got the time and money... totally go for it!

I drove one in a 15 passenger van for a couple weeks. I thought it had pretty good power. I think these where the ones that had the aluminum heads with about 4 threads holding the spark plugs in. Thousands of them blew spark plugs out at about 100K miles. So you may want to check that out first.

Extrudabody-

Although you followed our rules that don't allow contact info posted on the board, posting a link to a picture hosting website that has your contact info clearly displayed appears to be "aggressive promotion".

(you joined and then resurrected a 5 year old thread to post a market study question, then posted a link to your current product line)

Please see the business affiliation page

It looks like you have some cool products, and there is some neat tech stuff on your homepage. You can put your homepage's URL in your profile and members can visit it if they choose.

Thanks, mikey
