I was wondering how to go about putting hinges on the front of the hood on my 91 Mustang, so it tilts forward. I would like to put a fiberglass hood on that has a cowl that reaches the windsheild, but I don't want it to lift off. I was thinking of somehow hinging it in the front and maybe put pins in the hinges so I would be able to remove the hood at the race track. Any ideas? Function is great, but I'm also looking for minimal weight. Thanks in advance.

Bluenoser, just go to the local yard and find a early '90's buick; lesabre I beleive is the model. Take the hinges of of there and fabb them to fit the way you like. Helped a gentlman a few months ago do the same to his s-10.
