Found a GTO, is this a good price?
Found a GTO in good condition, no rust (I think), two barrel carb sticking out of the hood. Blood Red. They want like $3000, is this good? What kind of mpg will it get?

If it's a true GTO it sounds like a real good deal. MPG will depend on what motor/trans/gear ratio it has.

What year is this Goat?? They never built one with a 2 barrel in the 60's.

if its a goat the 66-67's had 3 horizontal tail lights and the turn signals in the grill. they didnt come with 2bbls but somebody maybe put one on. not a bad price even if it's a tempest. what year is it? i think you'll get like 18 mpg if it's running good

i would definately get the VIN and check to see if it is in fact a GTO, if so, go for it, but it probably doesn't have the original engine if it has a 2 barrel.

there is a 72 GTO on a board at the local Sedro-Woolley Auto Parts and he wants only $2000!!! cant tell how much rust it has though, only saw the pic.

If its a real gto thats probably a good price. About the two barrel its probably not the origal engine. And about fuel milage, your buying a muscle car who cares about the fuel milage and you probably wouldnt leave this engine stock anyway.

hey tm454, chill out! there is nothing wrong with the question raptor asked. he is merely asking a question (a little vague, I know) about something he is less than familiar about. this forum is for advice and help, and I'm tired of certain people making the new guys feel unwelcome. when you say our guidelines, you make it seem like he is an outsider. this forum is for EVERYONE interested in hot rods. as far as I'm concerned, you can be friendly or get the hell out...
