Frame Connectors 1967 firebird

Hello I have a 67 firebird and was wondering if I should be looking to get some sub frame connectors. The car has a 383 stroker around 400hp, TH-350 with a shift kit and stock converter. The rear end has 3.42 posi with traction bars, 225 70 15 rears tires. Is there any danger in twisting the body without them?

I've seen warped and cracked quarters on Camaros that weren't connected. Not sure if street tires and gears would get the same effect. I figure, why tempt fate. They are not that expensive and fairly easy to install. They will also help cornering by making the car more predictable.

I drove the car the way its set up now for about a year now and have not noticed any problems. But I think I might get them anyways. Does anyone know if all you have to do it bolt or weld them, or are there any other mods needed that I do not know about.

Thanks in advance

I just got the Summit sale catalog the other day. They show Competition Engineering subframe connectors for the 67-69 Camaro/Firebird in a weld in style for $85.88 for the pair or a bolt in style for $105.88 for the pair. The latter will not fit a convertible.

You may have to move brake or fuel lines out of the way. Depending on whether you have stock exhaust or not, you may have to tweek the pipes around.
