Frame ID k20 pickup

My 1983 k20 pick up seems to be more than one truck the vin says 83 with 6 cyl auto trans but the truck has a manual trans with a 350 it definitly was once a auto it has an auto colum and a auto dash.
I think someone put a different cab and front end on a k20 frame.
I need to know where on the frame would the ID numbers be
