hey anybody tryed to graft a 95 impala frame in a shoebox (55-57 chevrolet)or would it be easyer to clip it front and rear and use just some of the impala parts? i have a complete 9c1 cop car and was wanting to give the 57 a transplant
It is a considerable amount of work to get a body back on the frame it originally came on ... and get it to fit correctly. Door fit, fender fit and all the little stuff is a time killer ...
You'll know whether the clip is the answer once you do some serious measuring and comparisons of width, ride heights, etc.
If the clip can be managed it would be a better aletrnative than a frame swap.
