At this time I'm restoring an 89' reg. cab chevy p/u short bed, and want to start from the bottom up. I was looking at the frame of the truck through the underside and noticed it doesn't look too nice. I don't want to take the whole truck apart to prep. and paint the framing, but any recommendations on a good way to prep. and what is a good primer/sealer to use? More than anything its dirty and has just a few rust spots. I want a nice fresh look. Thinking about removing the bed of the truck if possible for better access if needed.

POR 15. Only thing you need to do is get under there to wire brush the loose rust off and then brush it on.

Thanks for the info. I checked out POR15's homepage and sounds like a good deal. I also noticed that they have an engine paint kit. Has anyone tried the POR15 Engine Painting Kit? I just don't know what kind of finish will the block have if it's brushed on instead of sprayed on.

The engine kit Im pretty sure I had some magazine that did a article with it and they sprayed it on.
