Frame question..

The frame I have which is a 37 Ford has been boxed from the motor mounts back. Should the frame also be boxed from the mounts foward?? If so why?? I kind of need to know, because I am starting to do the brake lines, and need to know if I should buy those threw the frame conectors.. Thanks..

Unless you are planning to use some super high horsepower engine, no more boxing is needed,or was needed. The mid 30's and 40's frames will handle moderate horsepower on the streed and sometimes need x-member work for trans clearance, but boxing the full length will cause the frame to be stiff and heavy?

Thanks.. I was told by someone that saw the frame that I should have the front done as well. The frame has the front crossmember from a Mustang II. From there to the motor mounts is open. From the mounts back to about 3/4's of the body back is boxed. From there back it is open again. Thanks for your help..
