I Can Get My Hands On (free) An Original 20's Frame I Thought I Would Box It And Use It To Build My T. Would This Be Worth It Or Would Buying A New Frame Be A Lot Better Way To Go. Or Is It Of Value As An Original Frame. Also How Can I Figure Out The Year Of The Frame It Has Wire Spoke Wheels Still On It And The Oil Pan Is Still There It Was Sitting In Field Since I Was A Kid. I Like The Idea Of Using This Frame.

I used a boxed model T frame under the very first bucket I built back in the 60's - but then I was young and stupid. It CAN be done but I think most folks would advise you to either buy a frame or build one out of 2x3 or 2 x4 rectangular tubing. By the time you beef up that T frame, you'll have almost as much money into it as you would building a frame from scratch. And the scratch built frame will be a lot safer.

Not bad for 60 and getting bald.

Oh, you mean the roadster? That's not doing bad either, but very few miles on it so far. This coming summer will tell the tale when I start getting some real time behind the wheel. Feel free to PM me or start a new thread if you have specific questions.

I have built 2 t bucket frames for myself out of 2x3 tube and the material cast less then $200. I see you are in Nashville, you ever come to Pigeon Forge for the rod runs?

RPMs Thanks for you post I haven't made it to a rod run at pf but I may try to this year. Most of my time has been used keeping up a race car until I gave it up. Now I am thinking of building a T and having something I can drive for more than one night without having to do major work. I May get with you on that frame I think that's the way I will go. Do you live close to nash?

No I live right off of I 40 where you go to Pigeon Forge. I have a t Bucket for sale. I can't post a pic on here but if you will email me I will send you a picture of it. The only reason to sell it is I just don't need 2 buckets.

RPMs I 'M not really looking to buy a car but want to build one. It's been a long time dream. Isn't there a rod run up you way soon I was thinking early feb.
