frame swap for 50 mercury
can any one tell me if there is a viable frame swap for my 50 led sled ?
the wheel base is 118 inches i would like to purchase a complete Donner car to have modern power train my Merc is just a carcass so i really need just about every thing i was thinking a 70s ford ltd and shorten from 123 to 118 or so i heard that some GM platforms are 118 but a don't know which ones are compatible. tk yorch

GM "G" bodies. 4-doors Cutlas Regal Tempest Malibu, seventies-mid eighties.. The wheel base can be altered easily.

merc swap
A friiend used a monte carlo ...said it was easy.he did not change the wheelbase .it's listed as 116 inches .. He lowered it and lowered the front and rear bumpers a couple of inches and reworked front and rear panels that made it look really low.. he had flamed moon hubcaps fastened to the front spindle nut so they did not turn and rear skirts.. when driving it looked like it was just floating.

thank you
will be on the look out for a g body once i have the chassis can i set drive train back 2 inches and re weld differential and rear springs back 2 inches?
