As one of the Moderators here..........let me be the first to WELCOME YOU.... here

I have never had a Willys........but a lot of rodders use the S10 frames for their projects. I do know that a 41 Willys frame originally was not much to get excited about........real weak......

I have built two pre-war Willys - my '36 and a '37 pickup, both with stock frames. Both are on the road and doing fine, mine w/ a 354 hemi and my buddy with a 350 SBC and TH400. Both are well over 400hp and the frames are great. Unless you are building an really in the weeds cruiser I recommend highly against using the S-10. WAY too husky, large and ugly for the Willys. Too wide, too long, too heavy. If you have the Willys frame, use it. Just be sure to use as much of the stock X-member as possible and to box it all the way and it will carry the Queen Mary!

But, an s-truck frame will work. If you have to go with another frame.
A friend of mine has a 40 sedan that has been made into a sedan/delivery. His stock frame was Michigan aged and totally unusable.
Not a bolt in by any means but the end results are quit reliable and the car is used daily in good weather.

Another option

You could use a Pinto front crossmember and build a 2x4 tube frame which could work out very well...that actually maybe lighter and easier to do than the S-10 chassis on that particular car...
