There was a article in street rodder mag around 1989 that showed a 41 -> 48 ford on a modified 72 Chevelle frame. I did this conversion twice & the cars drove very nice.
You have to modify the GM frame by connecting the front & rear portion of the frame w/3" x 4" tubing then, the outer portion of the frame is cut off. This narrows the frame to fit under the Ford body. The tubing is inserted in a cut you make in the frame where the frame cuts in front & back & welded in place. The guy that wrote the article had a street rod shop in Orlando,Fl - latter moved the shop to Indiana. The shop was called the ROD SHOP
As I recall the Ford frame had a 115" wheebase & the Chevelle had a 114" wheelbase.......Don
