front axle
hello building my first rat. when extending and moving axle i see some weld a tube in the front of frame horn attached to tube is a bracket to bolt axle to. i have the old ford axle i want to use. give me advice am i on track. pictures of one like this will help. thanks robert demon1

I am not sure of the advice you want. I think you are talking about using a suicide front suspension. Here are some pics I have collected from various sites over the years:
