Most of the older stuff used 44s as you may well know, Most older trucks that had them all had drum brakes. Some of the Newer 97-2004s SuperDuty Fords have 60s up front and nice big rotors and twin piston brake calipers.

The Dana 60 was used under the front of most 1-ton 4WD's in the 70's and 80's.

The 44 was used under 1/2-ton's, and the heavy duty Dana 44HD was used under the 3/4-ton's. The Dana 44 was phased out of production in the GM line starting in 1977 until they were gone, some sat around in certain warehouses up until 1980 and werwe then installed.

I have no info on the Ford or Dodge useage.
