Front clip ? again

I got a 50 GMC 1/2ton and Im going to clip it , I also have a 79 Caprice. Is this a good clip to use or not? it is front steer and free... or would I be better off to use a camaro and take the caprice to the demolition derby... Thanks Jim ps. lot of cool info on here!!!!! I will probably have a lot of stupid questions during this build .....

As one of the Moderators here ... I would like to
WELCOME YOU to Hotrodders.com

The Caprice would make a great donor car ... but I believe the front track is too wide for a 50 GMC ... Or least for me ... as I like them low and with the front tires tucked up under the fenders ...

A Lot of rodders have gone to the S-10 chassis ... for these AD type trucks. I had a 50 Chevrolet and I kept the old straight axle ... BUT then I am a Curmudgeon and a Traditionalist

Again ... WELCOME ...
