Front clip help
I searched the threads in Body - Exterior, looking for some of the guys(gals) in my area that might have experience doing a SERIOUS front clip.
I didn't have any luck. I'm in San Jose, Ca. and am hoping that one or more of you folks in my area might have done a major front clip and might be willing to drop over and lend a little advise.
I have to remove the entire front - from the windshield post forward and section through the floor just in front of the rear door post.
BTW - I photo-shopped the Magnum 500 wheels on since I don't have a pic of the car after I installed them.
(thanks to the folks at National Parts Depot for making their catalog open to copying from the .pdf file)
If any of you have some experience with anything this radical, I would appreciate your posting here or PMing me and hopefully we can set something up.
PS. thanks for the good feedback in "no topic" Mooch. ( and everybody else too!)
Where are all the bay area folks?
I got an e-mail from a dude in So. Cal.
He says "Make sure to keep a pull on the cowl area to prevent and cowl/window frame misalignment, which will cause a ton of problems later"
I'm not sure what he means. While welding together? While cutting off?
I suppose I should have posted this in Body - Exterior but I'm still hoping to hook up with some expert advise from some of the rodders here in the bay area.
I'll ask him but does anybody know what he's talking about?
I wasn't able to pick up the clip today after all. The guy hasn't pulled the engine though it's sold. I took some pictures of the yard. You should see the piles of Mustang stuff! It's a REALLY small yard. He dis-assembles nearly every car he gets in right away.
