Front clip options for 59 Suburban

First let me say the Suburban and Chevy truck have the same front end.
I was planning on using the front clip from a 79 camaro. However, I'm about to purchase an 85 Silverado for the drivetrain and was wondering if I could just use the front clip from it.
Will it fit, and if so, how would the front end sit compared to the camaro?
Thanks guys!

You can make anything fit but will it look right. The GM truck suspension may be too wide and prevent you from lowering the truck to the height you wanted. It may also be a bolt in instead of a weld in like the camaro sub. My choise would be the camaro sub.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I really like the 78 thru 87 G-body front end Monte Carlo, Regal, Malibu, Cutlass. i've done a couple of trucks ( 55 thru 58 ) with that front end.

Sounds like there may be some front end damage on the 85 Silverado. He said it was pulling to one side pretty bad.

Between the G body and the camaro/trans am which will handle and ride better with my heavy suburban. Brake size is also important.

I went with a 74 camaro front clip and 2004 Silverado drivetrain with computer. Love it.
