Front Coil Spring Removal
I'm taking the front coil springs out of my 73 Monte. The body and the motor are both off the frame so there's really no weight on the front end. If I use a spring compressor, and take the bottom and top control arms off and the spring out? Is there any way to let the tension off the spring slowely when it's out.
The frame is getting sandblasted and the springs as well. I know this is a process that has to be taken very carefully. I just got done rewatching a vedio where they used a spring compressor through the shock hole and they tighten the top nut to lift the spring off the lower control arm.
