62 nova. Front end gets out of shape on uneven road surfaces. I jack up car on one side the wheel turns in but other side doesn't turn out,s it just the geometry?

Are all the front end components in good shape? Tie-rods, idler arm etc?

chevy 11 front end.

I know from previous experience that they are not really stable, i had new convert. in 63. This is almost dangerous, two front shops say all is well,NOT. Thinking rack and pinion kit way to go.

The early nova clips have some pretty terrible geometry from the factory. CPP & CBR make tubular control arms but only the CBR pieces actually address the camber issues. An aftermarket rack & pinion is the next logical step to help correct bump steer.

Between those two items you'll quickly be approaching the cost of a complete replacement clip.

My first guess would be the idler arm. 62 Nova's had a very poorly designed idler arm that was redesigned for 63 to 67 Novas. Check Steves Nova site for info on how to upgrade your idler arm , try that before you start spending good money on expensive aftermarket parts.
