Front seats in 67 camaro

I'm thinking of upgrading the front buckets in my 67 Camaro. I'm looking for more side support and adjustability. Are there any later model Camaro seats that will more or less bolt in? Any suggestions for good aftermarket seats that don't cost $800 or more a piece?

Your original seats should be attached to mounting brackets that are attached to the floor. If you take the seat off the mounting bracket, most GM buckets, and a lot of aftermarket seats, will bolt right up to the original mounting brackets. All you have to worry about then is if the seat is high enough for you to see out of the windshield. If the seat is too low, shim up the seat and you're in business. Lowering the seat is trickier.

Just don't install any high back buckets in that Camaro, they look stupid.

front seats

Thanks for the input, I'll see what's available in the later model F body's. I agree with the high back bucket remark. They just don't look right in the early Camaro's.

seat choices

Hi Earn,
I was nearly in the same situation, finding a good supportive classic seat that looked not like the fast and furious.Until I did something about it...Try our website ***************.com, maybe something you like, also we will come to SEMA with a new seat for the TRANS AM generation....
regards Stefan
