front spring help

I have a 33 plymouth with a mustang II front end. I want to go from 10 inch springs to 8 inch and dont know what weight spring would be best. The car does have a high horespower big block 440

If the rate is too soft, they'll act like drag-racing springs. Going stiffer can help handling. You'll probably want at least 250 lb/in, and possibly as much as twice that.

Hey 33 ply, I like your ride! I would like to help you on your spring question, but I have two strikes against it. 1: My 33 Ply is a four door and, 2 mine has S-10 front end. But perhaps we will run across other similarities? :thumbup: Bob
