Best to buy new springs......the junkyard ones that you buy are liable to be as weak as the old ones.

The X-body and the F-body share the same front subframe assembly. Which means there is a while plethora of parts available for ya

Just cross reference to make sure they will fit if you are going with anything other than OEM replacements!

Most likely if you're springs are shot, then your shocks are history. The front suspention is a double A-frame setup, and it should be the same as any 2nd generation camaro/firebird. Also, I don't really recommened getting used springs, you're most likely going to end up with the same problem you have now, just becuase the springs are old and have been sitting around for far too long.

Also, is your nova a 2dr/4dr/custom/RS/hatchback? I belive the hatchback RS model had different springs then the regular granny models. BTW, mine is a 2dr Nova Custom(chrome package and 3 lens tailights instead of 2 lens ones).

I think mine is a coustom because around the windows and the fender wells have chrome pieces around the edges. I havent found anywhere tha it says nova coustom but i think it is. There is a guy i know who has a 76 and has nova coustom emblems on his but he doesn't have any chrome peices just the 3 lense tailights.
