Front stock shocks?

Is there that much of a difference in the stock replacement shocks from Monroe, that I can get at Sears for $26 & the big dollar ones in Summit & Jegs?
It is a 69 Chevelle street car with a big block in it.
What is everyone running out there?

I know you usually get what you pay for with performance parts, but is it worth 3 or 4 times the cost?

Iv'e been using KYB gas shocks lately and they work very good. They offer a good compromise between stock and super expensive hi performance shocks. You can get a set of four for around $120.

My vote goes for the KYB's as well. The Gas-A-Just shocks are pretty cheap especially from Summit Racing.

Shocks are generally one of those things that...."You get what you pay for"

Gas shocks seem to be the way to go.

If ordering fro Jegs or Summit, make sure you know what you are ordering. You don't want to get a set of 90-10s and then expect it to corner like a Vette.
