front suspension

I am restoring a 1947 chev del sedan. It has the origional independant front end!!!!Will this front end drive and handle well Or should it be changed. Thanks Len

A couple of "if's": If you're RESTORING it and if you can get parts for it, you really don't have much choice. It will be more than adequate to get you to local auto shows and, for that matter, will make a fine daily driver, if you like.

If u are sort of keeping it original u should register on the VCCA chat room. They have a section for your year and dedicated to chevy restorers. U can link to thier site by visiting : which is a great source of chevy parts.
