Front suspension for my 69 Camaro
I've got a 69 Camaro. It came from the factory with a 6 cylinder and a powerglide, which I promptly replaced with a SBC and Th350. I'm now thinking of going with a BB 454 and a Th400. My questions are: Do I need to beef up the front suspension to handle the extra weight? Should I replace it entirely with a modern aftermarket front end? And, if so, Where should I shop for it?

I went from SB 327 to BB 427 and never changed springs and it handled ok.
Not sure if the six had the same springs as the SB V-8 or not. Unrelated but you don't want to find out the hard way...... You will need to change to the BB heater core because the hose connections will be behind the head and too close to it to hook up otherwise. There's a kit for the swap.
