fuel filter (Best Place) to install

I am installing a electric fuel pump about 2 ft from my gas tank and I do have a glass fuel filter about 1 foot before my dual carb! Should I install another fuel filter before my electric fuel pump, My tank is brand new anyway, Poly type? Thanks again in advance, Dana

One filter should suffice,...but the glass filter has caused more fires than you can imagine, IMO get rid of it, and use a steel style canister in a out of site location!

fuel filter

I'm with Rick. I just used a canister from Summitt, mounted it on the framerail with a lever type shut off between the tank and canister. Bill

It is allways best to have a filter before the pump to prevent any debris from getting into the pump itself, and then having a final filter up at your carburetor to prevent any debris from the pump or lines from getting stuck in your carburetor.
