fuel injector vs 4- barrel carb

I have been thinking of putting a tuned out fuel injector in my 85 trans am instead of the usual 4- barrel carb...........
so my question is what is the pros and cons of both

Main difference is getting the ECM for the injection. You also have to put in an 02 sensor in the exhaust and a return line for the fuel along with an inline high pressure fuel pump. It is not a hard swap but it is time consuming and making sure the ECM matches the injection and getting the wiring done properly.
The benefits over a carb are better driveability and fuel mileage.

In some states (CA for instance) adding fuel injection, even if it cleans the car up some, is not legal come smog-check time. Dunno about TN, of course, but just a heads up.
