1976 GMC 1500 w/350 sbc and hooker headers.
I'm replacing my starter after the battery cable melted on the header. So after more inspection, I have 3 hard metal lines coming up the frame that end up right next to the header on the passenger side. A couple of those lines are touching the header. Oops? Is that terrible? I tried pushing/prying them away with a screw driver but I don't want to damage anything either. I have about a 1/8" clearance if that now.
One of the hard lines is thicker, goes up the frame, passed the fuel pump, across the radiator and is connected to nothing. This is the one that is still touching the header. The other two lines are fuel and trans cooler? Maybe?
Does this need to be resolved? If so, how so?
Thank you!
