Hey All, I need some help finding a part for my project. I'm looking for a fuel pickup/sending unit to install into my stock tank on my '57 Chevy p/u. The original unit uses a 5/16" pickup tube. I need a 3/8" pickup tube and a 5/16" return tube. I know I could add a 3/8" tube to the existing unit and convert the original pickup line to a return tube without too much of a problem brazing in the new tube. But, I got to thinking that with this real common tank flange, I may be able to find a unit already made and just swap it out. It's a common 5 bolt flange with an O.D. of ~ 2 5/8" with a bolt circle of ~ 2 1/8". This is common to older vehicles and boats also. It seems that the late 60's, early 70's Chev/GMC pickup trucks with in-cab tanks may have had a unit with the return line for use on factory big block trucks. It also seems that there may be a unit designed for boats with a suction and return line. I have hunted around and can't find anything suitable. Anybody know where I can find such an animal? Any help would be appreciated.
