Fuel Pump Pushrod/ Pump Mounting Plate (SBC)

--Chevy 350--

I have been reading that once you remove the pump there is another plate behind it that can be removed to allow better access for removing the pushrod. Can anyone shed some light on this for me, or even better does anyone have a picture showing the plate behind the pump and how to remove it?

When I was down there it looked like the place the pump mounts up is actually cast into the block?

There are two 1/4" bolts left holding the plate once the pump is removed. A gasket goes behind the plate.

Thanks- guess I should have cleaned it a little better, I couldn't even tell there was a seam there.
