Fuel system q, dry at the carb, but fuel bows full?
Hey guys-
I took my Intake off today because I have a leak that's been annoying me. I'm putting on a new holley and mallory distributor as well as wires and shorter plugs. Tired of crap parts. ANyway, I took the carb off and unbolted the fuel at the carb... dry as a bone!? THen I took the carb off the motor, and pushed the throttle, gave a good 8-12 strong squirts, then some fuzzy ones. Fuel bowls are obviously not leaking. ONe thing I can think of is that I bought a carter HP fuel pump for the setup, and I had to unbolt the base to move the inlet around. I had to do this while it was in the car, so I missed maybe 2 of the 12 bolts on it, seal seemed tight. ANyway, I"m not even sure if those two things are related, what should I be looking for?! Thanks in advance- K |

Sometimes after sitting awhile the gas siphons back to the tank or evaporate.
