I'm guessing that is a one piece, internal pump, pickup, vent unit. Two things come to mind immediately. One, the gasket which seals the unit on top of the tank has been compromised or two, the vent tube or supply tube has a hole/crack in it.
Does it only leak when you have a full or nearly full tank or does it leak all the time? Unfortunately, I think you are in for a bit of work to determine for certain what the problem is. The tank will most likely need to be removed to get at the top and the pick-up/venting unit.
