Fuel Tank Id---67 Skylark

I ve been looking for an Exact fuel tank replacement for my 67 skylark 2 door. The fuel tank spectra premium shows and the one I see all over the internet ( GM37A) looks nothing like the one on my car. What I took off my car looks exactly like the illustration & information in TEAM BUICK REFERENCE SECTION
for that year. It is the original 4.9--v8 300-2bbl ST 300 Trans. ---My tank has 2 Vents ( Approx. 1/2 inch diameter & the other 1/4 inch diameter) located to the LEFT of the '' Gas filler neck" that go between the car body & the rear bumper. And my "sending unit" is located on the "backside" middle of the tank,---NOT on the top. I have sent pics & spoken to the "tech people" at Spectra and they say it looks closer to what came off a 69 chevelle 300 ????. --But to me this looks like the original fuel tank. I might just have to sandblast this clean---patch it--paint it. I hope you guys / gals out there can help me----Thanks JIM

Yeah--I ve been on the "Spectra" website looking at mostly all the 'A" Body---GM Cars--Lemans/tempest/Chevelle etc.....They don t really show a good 180-360 view of the tank--so Im not 100% sure they are correct. They either show a real goood shot of the back or the side--Not so much the front.

Yeah--NOW we are on the right track---I will have to double check my diamentions-------but this looks like a very good start---just wondering why the ''Spectra" tech people didn t offer any viable alternatives like this--or even suggest a ''Vented Cap'' only fuel tank ??---Anyway --this worth looking into---Thanks everyone---JIM
