Post fuel tank overflow

Hello, I have a 1978 chevy C-10 that I am restoring. I have a problem with the fuel tank overflowing during filling. I assume its because the angle of the filler on the gas pump has changed over the years. Does anyone have any ideas or know how to remedy this problem?

If so, please e-mail me at HondaHina3@comcast.net or if you have AOL instant messenger contact me at HondaHina4.

Thanks!!!!!!

I have to assume (a dangerous word) that you are setting the latch on the filler nozzle at the station. Try setting the latch at a lower fill setting, this may stop your problem.
ORRRRR....fill it by using your own little fingers, ears and eyes. All REAL HOTRODDERS fill their tanks manually. LOL
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
